Area Attractions

Over 100 Golf Courses within an hours drive of Murrells Inlet.

Butterfly Pavilion
- New and absolutely wonderful, this is the first facility of its kind in the U.S., a fully enclosed glass pavilion featuring North American butterflies. A Discovery Center, Lorikeet aviary and a restaurant are also part of the complex.

Brookgreen Gardens
- The world's largest collection of American sculpture in a garden setting, Brookgreen was made up from several old plantation sites in and around Murrells Inlet. Over 9,000 acres of gardens and wildlife refuge with more than 500 works of figurative sculpture are featured in a garden setting.

Family Kingdom Amusement Park and Water Park
- A wooden roller coaster, Ferris wheel and a log flume are part of the opening salvo of this wonderful amusement destination. Bring the whole family for few fun-filled hours. Seaside vistas are par for the Family Kingdom Water Park, towering water flumes, lazy river raft rides and Kiddie pools welcome all levels of swimmers.

Hobcaw Barony Visitor Center
- A land holding that traces back to a Spanish settlement in 1526. In 1718 the area became a barony of 12,000 English measured acres. Statesman, Bernard Baruch purchased the holdings and built a retreat, sharing it with his friends Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt, Sir Winston Churchill, Jack London, H. G. Wells and many others.

Huntington Beach State Park
- A great place for shelling and enjoying the natural environs of the Lowcountry's coastal side in Murrells Inlet. Atalaya, former winter home and studio of sculptress Anna Hyatt Huntington is on the grounds and open to the public. Camping is available.

Myrtle Beach State Park
- A 312 acre oceanfront park comprises one of the most popular beaches around. The park is one of the last remaining natural areas along the South Carolina coast.

Myrtle Beach Grand Prix Family Thrill Park
- Race tracks, race cars from Grand Prix to go-karts and even junior racers are all located in this one place.

Myrtle Beach Pavilion Amusement Park
- The grand-daddy of them all and still going strong since 1949! More than 40 amusement rides are located in this one park including the newest terror to hit the Carolinas - the awesome wooden Hurricane Roller Coaster.

Myrtle Waves
- For some cool fun in the sun, nothing beats Myrtle Waves. This is the Grand Strandıs largest water park, filled with everything form kiddie adventure pools to the maxed out Riptide Rocket!

NASCAR Speed Park
- It's 26 acres of family fun from custom stock car tracks to race simulators and racing games.

Ripley's Aquarium
- South Carolina's most visited attraction, this marvelous aquarium features a 330 foot underwater moving Glidepath which puts the visitor within inches of the sharks and stingrays swimming overhead. Ripley's Moving Theater hosts awesome digital, surround-sound, earth moving 70MM films that put the viewer in the middle of the picture.

Waccatee Zoological Farm
- Waccatee is a 500 acre farm with over 100 species of creatures from traditional farm animals to exotics such as miniature horses, black leopards and birds.

Wild Water-Water and Race Theme Park
- Water park, kiddie rides, motorized rides, amusements, arcade and miniature golf are located on 16 acres which offers a bit of fun for everyone.
